BIOGRAPHY

Scott J. Leitten practices in the areas of banking, mortgage and secured transactions, commercial and business litigation, mortgage foreclosure and loan work-out, and real estate and business transactions.  Mr. Leitten is a founding member of Block & Colucci, P.A., and presently acts as its Managing Partner.

Mr. Leitten represents national, regional and community lending institutions, investors, and individuals litigating mortgage and construction lien foreclosures, loan work-out, debt collection, lender liability as well as national and local businesses contract, construction, landlord/tenant and environmental liability disputes.

He is counsel to a broad range of lenders including national, regional and community banks, SBA lenders and mortgage corporations in secured and unsecured complex commercial loan transactions and also acts as foreclosure and workout counsel.

Additionally, Mr. Leitten advises buyers, sellers and developers of commercial and residential real estate. He negotiates and closes commercial and residential purchase and sale agreements, assists purchasers with due diligence and structuring financing arrangements with lenders, examines title insurance, and prepares the appropriate documentation.

In his corporate practice, Mr. Leitten represents companies and owners in various transactions including the purchase and sale of business assets and stock, formation of business entities, financing, venture capital and employment contracts.  He also counsels venture capital firms in placing and making equity investments.
